A businessman (Stan Adair), a magic shop owner (Tom Dethlefsen), a Methodist pastor (Rev. James Knorr), and an architect’s wife (Helen Easterly) met in 1953 to discuss forming a group to meet bi-monthly to encourage each other in gospel magic. The first meeting was Nov. 27, 1953 and the FCM was born.
